Hello everyone,
I am Alex from New Zealand. I see you like my 6159-7001! It is a magnificent watch and it was owned by a New Zealand salvage diver from new in 1970.

The watch has lived a very full life, but is in excellent mechanical condition. I found the watch in a box of old broken watches, and the daughter of the owner practically gave it to me along with some photos of her father wearing the watch during his diving work! The watch only needed a new original crystal, gaskets, and complete mechanical rebuild - all original otherwise.

Sorry for my English is very bad.
You have a beautiful watch, a real grail Seiko collector's dream Seiko diver, and very well maintained, is really perfect.

Thank you very much for bringing it to the forum, Relojistas is your home for what you need.

A greeting.

Diego.

Fantastic!!

What an incredible story!! As a Seiko collector it would be a dream for me to have a watch like that, not only because of the rarity and the importance of the grial among the seiko divers, but because of the story of its first owner. It has no value. The photograph is authentic, if I were you I will have it hanging on my collection room as well.

Best regards, it's been a pleasure to meet the owner of one of the most famous seikos in the world. ;)
