¿"Swiss Movt" no se puede usar....?

Hace tiempo que estoy observando en varios relojes la inscripción "Swiss Movt" en la esfera o tapa trasera; pero según esta web oficial, no puede usarse esa inscripción, sólo "Swiss Movement" (la palabra Movement completa).

¿Sabéis álgo al respecto?

I had emailed The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry asking the same question on this discussion board and after all this time, I finally received a reply. Here is a copy of their reply:

The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH is the Swiss watch industry's leading trade association. We are a private, professional, and non-profit association, currently bringing together more than 500 members representing more than 90% of all Swiss watch manufacturers. All the major Swiss watch brands are members of our Federation (for more information, please visit our website at www.fhs.ch/en).

As you may know, Swiss law (Swiss federal Ordinance governing the use of the name "Swiss" or "Switzerland" for watches; please see an English translation of this law under http://www.fhs.ch/doc/osme.pdf) gives the criteria which must be met for a watch to be considered as Swiss and to be allowed to bear Swiss indications.

According to article 3 § 3 of the Ordinance, “the indication "Swiss movement" may be applied to watches which contain a Swiss movement [and do not comply with the other criteria of a “Swiss made” watch]. The word "movement" must appear written out in full in the same type-face, dimension and colour as the appellation "Swiss".
The reason of this rule is that those words are usually written in very small fonts at 6 o’clock on the watch, and the word “movt” (when written very small) might be confused with the word “made”.

According to article 1a of the Ordinance, a watch may be considered as a Swiss watch and bear the “Swiss made” indication only if : a. its movement is Swiss; b. its movement is cased up in Switzerland and c. the manufacturer carries out the final inspection in Switzerland.

Swiss law territorial scope of application is of course limited to Switzerland in principle, but thanks to some bilateral treaties, this law is also applicable in many European countries. Furthermore, the Federation is very keen to protect Swiss denominations when associated with watches, especially in the USA, where we have registered certification marks for the words "Swiss" and "Swiss made".
Having said that, we know that some unscrupulous sellers and/or producers are using Swiss names on watches in an illegitimate manner.

To summarize, it is not acceptable from our point of view and according to Swiss law and the U.S. certification marks for “SWISS” and “SWISS MADE” that a watch manufacturer put “SWISS MOVT” instead of “SWISS MOVEMENT” if the watch only contains a Swiss movement. “SWISS MOVEMENT” should be written in full letters.
